Explore Elizabeth Freeman’s legacy through a permanent, interactive student-designed kiosk at Great Barrington Town Hall, the site of the courtroom where her freedom case was heard. Created by UMass Amherst illustration students with Du Bois Freedom Center staff and scholars, the installation connects Freeman’s 1781 legal challenge to contemporary conversations about justice, freedom, equity, and the power of public art.
