The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee turns a school competition into a sharply funny musical showdown at New World Stages – Stage 3. Six wonderfully awkward middle-schoolers spell their way through big ambitions, family pressures, and the fear of elimination, with music and lyrics by William Finn and a book by Rachel Sheinkin. Expect quick-witted songs, heartfelt surprises, and even audience volunteers called up to compete.
